Dealupa brings you the deals and experiences that match your interests.

We love a good deal. The trouble is, with thousands of deals out there now, we're finding it harder and harder to keep up. What started as a couple of deal sites soon became hundreds; before long, our inboxes were filling up with dozens of daily emails every morning. Worse, deals we wanted started getting lost in a flood of deals we didn't want.

That's why we put together Dealupa—a single place to find the best daily deals. We gather deals from across the web and then we use patent-pending DealRank technology to organize deals according to their quality and relevance to you.

Our Vision

Our goal is to act as your personal concierge, finding products, experiences, services and events that speak to who you are as a person. Do you occasionally like to pamper yourself with a mani-pedi? Or maybe you're an adrenaline junkie who loves jumping out of planes with a parachute strapped to your back. Maybe you're just looking for ideas to take your partner out on a date. Tell us about what matters to you, and we'll do the leg work to find things that you'll love.

Technology

We're big nerds at heart. We love to build products that users love and use bleeding edge technology to do it. Dealupa is built using MySQL, Memcache, PHP and JQuery. We host our service at Rackspace and use Amazon's S3 for storage. We're especially enamored of Solr for our search service and PhantomJS for the power it affords us in our crawling infrastructure. All our infrastructure sits upon the Ubuntu 11.10 operating system. If you love technology as much as we do, and care about building products that users love, join us!

Team

Vijay Boyapati, Founder Prior to founding Dealupa, Vijay worked as an engineer at Google, where he was part of a small team that built Google News. After leaving Google in 2007, Vijay founded Operation Live Free or Die, a political action committee that helped raise almost 2 million dollars for the Ron Paul campaign and brought 500 people to the state of New hampshire to campaign for Paul. Vijay graduated from the Australian National University with a B.S. with honours in computer science and Mathematics. He was also awarded the University Medal.

Sanjay Mavinkurve, Founder Sanjay was previously Director of Design and User Experience at Redfin. Before that, Sanjay spent 8 years at Google, with most of that time as the design lead on the original team that launched Google Maps for mobile devices. Sanjay also worked on the Google X and Google+ teams. Sanjay graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. and M.S., both in computer science, and a minor in French language and literature.
